Joni Eareckson Tada, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Joni and Friends, is an international advocate for people with disabilities.

In 2007, there was a partnership between the Joni and Friends International Disability Center and the Church of God in Christ, Inc. to inform and to better educate the people of the C.O.G.I.C. ministry about people with disabilities.
